 Can I re-use any of the pendants and plaques? Yes, every detail on the lambathes can later be removed and kept or hung around the house or room.

What is the significance of Lambathes? Greek Easter candles, known as Lambathes, have a rich cultural significance in Greece. These candles are essential to the Greek Orthodox Easter service on Holy Saturday evening, also known as Anastasi. The candle symbolises the Resurrection of Christ and represents the light that dispels the darkness of death.

Who buys the lambatha, and can babies have one too? It is customary for Godparents to gift an Easter lambatha to their godchild. Children receive their first lambatha at Easter following their baptism, and this tradition may continue through childhood and beyond. For families with younger children, or children who are still learning, we also have available LED lambathes as a safer alternative.
